Market Update

Maritime Software, Carbon Monitoring & Energy Technology Jobs | H2 2025 Update

2025 began with cautious optimism here at Cordell Beaumont.

We’ve onboarded several exciting vacancies across North America and Europe, but I’d say we’ve had to dig deeper than we did in 2023–24.

We’re also seeing a rise in hiring activity across Latin America, particularly in Brazil, where major commodity traders are moving closer to source.

As more trading houses go direct to suppliers, maritime and energy software companies are building out commercial and support teams in Rio and São Paulo to be nearer to customers and operational decision-makers.

Job seekers at the junior to mid-level, especially in sales currently have more options than they did last year.

By contrast, the executive and C-suite market remains tighter unless you’re open to shifting sectors or regions.

Candidates are also becoming more confident in asking recruiters about the long-term vision of a company, especially with the continued wave of consolidation in the maritime software space.

Salary expectations have largely stabilized, compared to the buoyant (and at times inflated) 2020–2022 market. We’re seeing far fewer “price wars” and more realistic, value-aligned conversations between employers and candidates.

 

Cordell Beaumont Giving Back

Our June beach cleanup took us to Sarasota, Florida, marking six months of consistent action through the Cordell Beaumont Giving Back program.

From January to now, our team has shown up with a purpose in heart. It’s a small but meaningful way we stay connected to the community and the planet.

Over the past six months, we’ve helped remove more than 400+ pounds of plastic waste from our beaches. Every bottle, cap and wrapper cleared is one step closer to a cleaner coastline.

We’re proud of the momentum we’ve built and grateful for our tiny helpers who’ve joined us along the way.

Here’s to cleaner beaches, healthier oceans and a stronger community 🌍♻️
