Smart Maritime Network Rotterdam 2023
Our team and I had a fantastic time networking at the event last week and really enjoyed learning more about innovations across the maritime and port logistics space.
Our key takeaways:
✅ The digital shipping community is very much alive and thriving
✅ Investment within our space is still on the rise, although perhaps more so from small-medium sized financers as opposed to large VCs
✅ Will or won’t there be a “unicorn” in the digital shipping space?
✅ Shipowners & charterers need internal digital transformation teams
✅ Ports of Rotterdam & Antwerp are establishing highly effective digital solutions and are collaborating with key tech providers
✅ More streamlined connectivity and communication is needed on ground-level operations in ports and terminals
